Challenge

Bronner was tasked with providing a training lead/manager and the requisite number of Oracle training course developers to assess, design, develop, deliver, and support the end-user training effort of the Oracle 11i migration. Bronner was required to develop customized courses that targeted specific users and/or specific job functions.

Solution

Bronner developed the following courses for Chicago Public Schools ("CPS"):

• AP/PO 101 - Oracle 11i Briefing Class
  This course was designed for all end-users in the use of Oracle Navigation and Inquiry.
• AP/PO 102 - Oracle 11i Requisitions and Approvals
  This course was designed for those users with responsibility for creating requisitions for supplies
  and services.
• PO 202 - Oracle 11i Purchasing
  This course was designed for those with responsibility for creating and managing purchase orders, receipts, and suppliers.
• AP 302 - Oracle 11i Payables Invoice Entry
  This course was designed for end-users responsible for entering invoices into Oracle.
• AP 303 - Oracle 11i Payables Payments
  This course was designed for AP Supervisors and Managers. It included creating and managing payment batches, managing invoice maintenance, and Supplier Pay Site.
• GL 401 - Oracle 11i General Ledger Briefing
  This course was designed for end-users responsible for General Ledger inquiry and reporting in Oracle. It
  included basic account and journal inquiry and Oracle report interpretation.
• GL 402 - Oracle 11i Journal Entry
  This course was designed for end-users responsible for entering accounting journals into Oracle.
• GL 403 - Oracle 11i Budgeting
  This course was designed for end-users responsible for creating and maintaining budgets in Oracle.
• GL 404 - Oracle 11i Grants Maintenance
  This course was designed for end-users responsible for creating and maintaining grants information in Oracle.
• GL 405 - Oracle 11i FSG Reports
  This course was designed for end-users who needed to perform customized report analyses.
• GL 402 - Oracle 11i Journal Entry
  This course was designed for end-users responsible for entering accounting journals into Oracle.

Results

The courseware developed by Bronner was approved for delivery by CPS, satisfying our objectives for the engagement.
