CHICAGO,
October 29, 2003—Bronner Group, LLC, nationally known and respected
within the public sector, volunteered two of its consulting managers
to participate in the "Chicago Principal for a Day Program"
sponsored by Mayor Richard Daley.
The program recruits Chicago's corporate and civic leaders to volunteer as a Principal for a Day at one of Chicago's public schools. Seeking to bridge the gap between the private and public sectors, the program facilitates an ongoing relationship between CEOs of the business world and the principals, the CEOs of the Chicago public schools.
BRONNER's participants, Steve Carroll and Brett Bennett, spent the day at Morrill Specialty Schools, speaking with students about the opportunities available in the job market, and sharing their experiences in the transition from school to a professional environment. Mr. Carroll said "Being part of the "Chicago Principal for a Day Program" allows individuals from our company to serve as role models for Chicago Public Schools students and identify opportunities to assist CPS teachers and administrative staff. It is an essential part of our organization to commit our time to the community". And Mr. Bennett concluded "Chicago Principal for a Day Program provided us with the opportunity to observe the great rapport between the teachers and their students at Morrill Specialty School. Interacting with the students was a truly rewarding experience that I would recommend to anyone".
