CHICAGO, February 10, 2003—The Chicago-based consulting firm Bronner Group, LLC (BRONNER) was awarded a contract by the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM). As a part of this new contract, BRONNER will provide technology consulting and needs assessment services to HACM, which will include a review of the Authority's current and future technology needs, infrastructure, hardware and software capabilities, and effectiveness of current technology operations (e.g., help desk, disaster recovery, and system administration).

Specific objectives of the project with HACM will encompass:

• Assessing the use of automated systems, current unmet needs, anticipated needs, web-based applications, and limitations of exiting systems;
• Identifying tasks that could be more efficient and cost-effective, if automated;
• Researching available software applications, including application service providers, and developing an associated implementation plan;
• Assessing the effectiveness of the current network infrastructure, including performance, compatibility, reliability, and disaster recovery; and
• Assessing the current information technology support procedures and personnel.

In addition, BRONNER will provide recommendations and action plans for improvement.
