Gila J. Bronner Elected to the Economic Club of Chicago

Formed in 1927, the Economic Club of Chicago serves as a vital facilitator of important discussions on the foremost social and economic issues of the day. The Economic Club of Chicago also plays an essential role in identifying and cultivating the next generation of civic and business leaders.

Ms. Bronner, a certified public accountant, founded Chicago-based Bronner in 1987. She was previously with the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and Peat Marwick (now KPMG). Ms. Bronner is a recognized thought leader who writes and lectures extensively on numerous public sector issues. She serves on several boards and committees including the Board of Directors of the Illinois Finance Authority (as Audit Committee Chair), the Data Board of Advisors for the Washington-based Data Transparency Coalition, and CJE SeniorLife’s Administrative Services Committee, and was a member of the former City of Chicago Mayor’s Council of Technology Advisors. Accounting Today, a leading trade periodical, named Ms. Bronner one of the top 100 most influential people in accounting for two consecutive years.
