Nick Tzitzon is senior vice president at Bronner, a national consulting and advisory firm focused on supporting government agencies in the areas of strategy, transformation and accountability. He manages the firm’s day-today operations and provides high-level counsel to government and business executives in the areas of planning, policy, compliance and partnerships.
A former high-ranking public official with local, state and federal government experience, Mr. Tzitzon has broad expertise in politics and public policy. He routinely provides analysis on government policies and procedures, American politics and a wide variety of related topics.
Before joining Bronner, Mr. Tzitzon served as a public policy consultant within a national law firm. Within government, he most recently served as chief of staff (chief operating officer) in the Justice Department’s Office of Justice Programs, a federal agency charged with distributing billions of dollars per year in government grant funds. Also in Washington, Mr. Tzitzon worked for Health and Human Services Secretary (and former Wisconsin Governor) Tommy G. Thompson as deputy director of intergovernmental affairs.
Prior to arriving in Washington, D.C., Mr. Tzitzon served in numerous capacities in state government and Republican politics, most recently as director of gubernatorial appointments to then-Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. He also served in the administration of former Governor and U.S. Ambassador to Canada Paul Cellucci and as political director for the Massachusetts Republican Party. A former senior advisor to the Mayor of Haverhill, Mass., Mr. Tzitzon’s career in politics has taken him from the trenches of New Hampshire presidential primaries to the 2000 presidential recount in Tampa, Fla.
He has served in key roles for local, state legislative, gubernatorial and national campaigns, ranging from campaign operations to grassroots management. A resident of the Chicago area, Mr. Tzitzon serves on the boards of the Museum of Broadcast Communications and the Alzheimer’s Association – Greater Illinois Chapter. He is a member of the American Hellenic Progressive Association (AHEPA) and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
