Client Success and Company Expansion
Headquartered in Chicago, Bronner was founded by the firm’s president and chief executive officer, Gila J. Bronner, in 1987. Ms. Bronner, a certified public accountant (CPA), had built a widely respected reputation for expertise in the area of governmental accounting, having previously served as a key staff member for the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and with the global accounting firm Peat Marwick (now KPMG).
What started as a certified, woman-owned small business quickly grew in size and stature. Engagements to provide accounting and financial management support to City of Chicago and State of Illinois agencies provided the foundation for expansion into more than a dozen U.S. states and over 200 different jurisdictions.
Today the firm has six offices across the nation and focuses on providing professional services in three key areas: strategy, transformation and accountability. Bronner is a certified D/WBE by more than a dozen jurisdictions and is included on a wide variety of master contracts and purchasing schedules, including GSA MOBIS and GSA FABS.
